Thomas Jefferson High School sophomore Jacob Hurskin, basketball, is the Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for Dec. 23.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: History.

Q: What hobbies do you enjoy outside of your sport?

A: Video games.

Q: Who is the person in your life that has helped you succeed the most?

A: My parents.

Q: What’s the best advice you’ve been given when it comes to your sport?

A: “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.”

Q: What’s your favorite post-game meal?

A: Red Robin.

Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

A: “Buss Down” by Blueface.

From the sidelines: TJHS sophomore Jacob Hurskin has 18 points against Kentridge and nine rebounds against Tahoma. He s averaging nine points per game, 6.7 rebounds per game and three steals per game. Jacob always plays hard and for his team.
