FWHS grad wins first collegiate wrestling match

Paulina Fabela Santos won her first collegiate wrestling match for Linfield University on Dec. 11 against Southern Oregon University.

Fabela Santos graduated from Federal Way High School in 2022 and is in her true freshman season with the Wildcats. Her first collegiate win came in her fourth match this season, and it was via pin in the first round.

In her three year wrestling career as an Eagle, Fabela Santos qualified every year for the state wrestling tournament. Her sole win at the state level was back in 2019 during her freshman year, when she beat another freshman from Washington High School.

For her next match, Fabela Santos takes on Simon Fraser in McMinnville Saturday, Jan. 7.
