Todd Beamer High School senior Darius Israel, basketball, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for Dec. 10.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Math with Ms. Young.

Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: Shopping.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My mom and Coach B.

Q: The best advice I’ve ever been given by a coach is:

A: “Be a student first,” and to stay focused on my grades.

Q: Describe your pre-match ritual?

A: Pre-game: I lay down and relax. Post-game: Chick-fil-A.

Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

A: “Lick Back” by EST Gee.

From the sideline: TBHS senior Darius Israel is averaging 16 points per game and four rebounds while shooting an amazing 73% from the floor. Darius has a great attitude on the court and in the halls at school.
