Fans are allowed to fill the stands and cheer on their athletes at the girls Swim and Dive Championships in Federal Way Nov. 12-13.

The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) announced on Nov. 4 that spectators and non-essential personnel are allowed at the King County Aquatic Center (650 SW Campus Drive) due to the easing of COVID-19 restrictions by the King County Parks Division.

While the facility will operate at full capacity, masks are required to be worn at all times for people in the facility with the exception of participants while they are competing.

Neither proof of vaccination nor a negative COVID-19 test is required for entry as school-based events are waived from the King County Health Directive, the WIAA announced.

Tickets are available for purchase exclusively online through GoFan. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online in advance of the meet and also can purchase digital tickets onsite. Paper tickets will not be available for purchase onsite.

The facility opens at 7:15 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12 with preliminary sessions beginning at 8:50 a.m. (1A/2A), 1:35 p.m. (3A) and 6:20 p.m. (4A).

A full schedule of events can be found on the WIAA website.

Available parking has been reduced and will be extremely limited for the event so attendees are encouraged to carpool if possible.
