Election results: 4 newcomers leading Federal Way City Council races

The Federal Way City Council may see four new faces, according to preliminary results from King County Elections.

Federal Way City Council Position 2 candidate Erica Norton earned 60% of the votes to opponent and incumbent Greg Baruso’s 39% of the votes.

In the Position 4 race, incumbent Hoang Tran is narrowly behind with 48% of the votes. Opponent Daniel Miller garnered nearly 51% of the votes, as of the Nov. 3 ballot count update.

For Position 5, challenger Jack Walsh has received 51% of votes so far, according to early election results. Incumbent Leandra Craft — who was appointed to the council in 2020 — is closely trailing with 48% of the votes.

In Position 6, Former Mayor Jack Dovey is leading with 53% of votes, while challenger Renae Seam has 46% of votes.

So far, 10,982 ballots have been counted in Federal Way as of Nov. 3, according to King County Elections ballot return data.

Election results will be certified Tuesday, Nov. 23.
