The late June heat wave brought crowds to Federal Way’s Steel Lake Park earlier this week.

Dozens of Federal Way residents and people from nearby cities soaked up the sun and cooled off with a swim on June 28.

The 52-acre park features a playground, lakeside beaches, picnic areas and a sand volleyball pit.

Steel Lake Park is located at 2410 S. 312th St. in Federal Way and is open daily from dawn to dusk.
