Thomas Jefferson senior Kevin Pineda, football, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for Sept. 13.
Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?
A: Science.
Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?
A: I really don’t have any hobbies as I totally enjoy the game of football.
Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?
A: My brother.
Q: What is the best advice you’ve been given when it comes to your sport?
A: “People who quit never win.”
Q: Describe your pre-game ritual and your favorite post-competition meal.
A: I wear a Jesus chain on game days to get the extra help from the Man above, and my post-game meal is pizza.
Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?
A: “Heart on Ice” by Rod Wave
From the sideline: TJHS senior Kevin Pineda had a great game on defense last Friday night in the loss versus Federal Way. He had two sacks of the FWHS quarterback, a key fumble recovery that led the Thomas Jefferson Raiders to a touchdown and eight tackles.
