Federal Way High School’s Josh Mears, baseball, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for May 3.
Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?
A: Anthropology.
Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?
A: Baseball, drums, hanging out with friends.
Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?
A: Family.
Q: Do you have a pregame/competition ritual or postgame tradition, and what is it?
A: Listen to music before games.
Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?
A: “The Mantra” by Kendrick Lamar.
From the sideline: Federal Way High School senior Josh Mears is an outstanding young man. The only thing more impressive than his physical abilities to play baseball is his commitment to becoming a tremendous baseball player. Josh is currently batting .519 with eight home runs, 19 RBIs and 14 stolen bases.
