Todd Beamer High School’s Kara Nguyen, girls tennis, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for March 22.
Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?
A: Biology.
Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?
A: Calligraphy, hanging out with friends.
Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?
A: Parents and my brother.
Q: Do you have a pregame/competition ritual or postgame tradition, and what is it?
A: Just listening to music and taking deep breaths.
Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?
A: “Breathe” by Lil Skies.
From the sidelines: Freshman Kara Nguyen won the first two matches of her career so far this season. She went 6-2, 6-2 vs. Decatur on March 14 and 6-0, 6-1 vs. Enumclaw on March 15.
