Athlete of the Week:
Todd Beamer High School’s Kelsey Yi, golf, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Sept. 21.
Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?
A: My favorite class this year is pottery.
Q: What other activities/hobbies do you participate in?
A: I only play golf.
Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?
A: My mom and dad help me succeed the most.
Q: Do you have a pregame/competition ritual or postgame tradition, and what is it?
A: My parents usually take me out for dinner after a good match.
Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?
A: “Breathin” by Ariana Grande
From the sideline: Kelsey and her sister, Kayla, have qualified for state the last two years. Kelsey is off to a great start shooting rounds of 37, 41, and 40 in her bid to get back to state.
