A pig caused a commotion over the weekend after jumping out of a trailer in Interstate 5 in Federal Way.

The pig was on the way to auction when it escaped around 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, on southbound I-5 near a weigh station. A few citizens helped state troopers get the pig off the road’s shoulder, according to Trooper Rick Johnson of the Washington State Patrol.

Johnson reports that the pig’s owner eventually returned and put the pig – who was uninjured – back on the trailer and went on their way.
