Federal Way July 4 celebration schedule

The Red, White and Blues Festival will once again light up the night sky in Federal Way tonight.

The festival is free and open to the public, beginning at 3 p.m. with free parking in the main lot of Celebration Park (1095 S. 324 St.). Still, parking will be limited, and attendees are encouraged to carpool or walk to the festival.

The festivities kick off at 4 p.m. and conclude with a fireworks display starting at 10:15 p.m.

The Music and Fireworks schedule, emceed by comedian and juggler Alex Zerbe, is as follows:

4 p.m.: Lobo Del Mar (ethnic music)

6 p.m.: Joe Slick Band (young country)

7 p.m.: Introduction of elected officials from Mayor Jim Ferrell

7:15 p.m.: Kids Parade

7:30 p.m.: The Disco Ballz (disco)

9 p.m.: Spike & The Impalers (classic rock)

10:15 p.m.: Fireworks display

Local food vendors Billy McHale’s, H&S Novelties, Ice Cream Lady, LaMalinche, Murph’s BBQ, Pacific Island Grill, Gogi on the Go and Kiwanis will also be in attendance, all opening at 4 p.m.

All-ages field activities start at 4 p.m. and include inflatables, paintball and face painting, among other attractions.
