Tacoma resident murdered in Federal Way, second homicide this week

Federal Way police are investigating the murder of a 27-year-old man Tuesday morning, marking the second homicide and third shooting to occur in Federal Way this week.

Officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of South 333rd Street at 11:37 p.m. on Monday. There, they found the man slumped over in a vehicle. According to police, he was killed from an apparent gunshot wound. Detectives believe the victim is a Tacoma resident, but he has not been identified at this time.

At about 1 a.m. on Monday, officers found a 26-year-old man, dead after being shot in the back, at an apartment located in the 1300 block of SW Campus Drive.

Later that morning, police responded to another shooting. A 19-year-old man shot a 21-year-old man in the chest, although that shooting is thought to have been accidental.
