Sequoyah Middle School has been named one of the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction’s Washington Achievement Award Winners for 2015.
Sequoyah was selected for its gains in language acquisition. Schools qualify for recognition in this category if they are in approximately the top 5 percent of schools, based on the median point gain on the Washington English Language Proficiency Assessment.
