Police read to kids, teach about 911

from staff reports

On April 27, in honor of April being 911 National Public Education Month, Lindsey Sperry and Michelle Roy of the Federal Way Police Department met with preschoolers at the Federal Way branch of the King County Library Sytem for the Emery the Emergency Penguin Storybook tour.

The tour is a fun, educational program aimed at teaching preschoolers about 911.

Local children were the first to hear Emery the Emergency Penguin’s story, Emery and the Ice Carnival, learn a 911 song and went home with an Emery coloring book.
