Daiso Japan at The Commons mall will hold a grand opening Saturday, April 23, and Sunday, April 24, to celebrate its move from its current The Commons location to a larger, 9,000 square-foot space.

“In this new, larger space, Daiso customers will experience a bigger store with a wider selection of merchandise from which to choose,” store officials said in a statement. “Carrying thousands of unique items, many of which are designed in-house, Daiso aims to put the fun back into shopping.”

On each day of the grand opening, “goodie bags” will be given to the first 100 customers with a receipt, vendor samples and kids’ balloons will be available, and raffles for a variety of high-tech gear will be held.

Known for its $1.50 price tag on most products, Daiso carries thousands of products like kitchenware, beauty supplies and electronic accessories.
