Federal Way High School’s boys basketball team celebrated another successful season by visiting Debbie Salisbury’s kindergarten class on Wednesday, March 9 at Adelaide Elementary School.

The high school students read a Dr. Seuss book, shared cupcakes, answered questions about themselves, spent some time on the basketball court, took photos and showed off their dance moves with the youngsters.

The kindergarteners were awestruck as Ferron Flavors listed off his basketball trophies he’d won and told them how he made a million shots. Meanwhile, Christian Jones never found out who ate his cupcake.

One kindergartner told the team he knew they won the state championship “because they believed in themselves.”
