Wade Webber joins Sounders Football Club Academy coaching staff

Wade Webber, a Federal Way native, is the new head coach of the Sounders FC U-15 team.
Webber is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. During his time as a player for the boy’s soccer team, they won three consecutive state championships.
He went on to a pro career where he played for the Sounders and Portland Timbers prior to the formation of Major League Soccer. After the league was created, he played for both the Dallas Burn and the Miami Fusion.
He began coaching in 1999. Eventually he worked his way to director of coaching for Washington Premier FC, where he spent seven years.
Webber has been in the radio booth for the Sounders since 2012.
