Voters of Federal Way, please join us in voting for Mark Koppang to represent us on our Federal Way City Council, Position 5.

Mark Koppang brings leadership experience obtained through many years of service to the community. Currently chair of the Parks and Recreation Commission, he also chaired the Civil Service and Independent Salary Commission. He was selected to serve as the chairperson of the Superintendent Search Committee for Federal Way Public Schools, and has been active in service through his church and board member of both Advancing Leadership and Federal Way Kiwanis. His impressive qualities brought him a rating of “very good” by the non-partisan Municipal League, which they define as someone who “makes significant contributions, is a skilled builder of consensus, inspires confidence … is thorough and attentive to issues.”

Mark is a businessman who understands the budgeting process and the need for careful financial planning. He is committed to building our community in a fashion that will attract new businesses and bring family wage jobs to Federal Way. He knows that people are concerned about safety for themselves and their families in our community and he will work to support our local police and to expand the Safe City program to every neighborhood that is interested.

Anyone who knows Mark will tell you he is dedicated to our community; that he is a good, thoughtful listener who analyzes all sides of an issue, resulting in common sense solutions to improve the quality of life in our city, while still keeping our taxes as low as possible and allocating your tax dollars wisely. Mark is a team player who works well with others. He can make his positions known logically without antagonizing those who may disagree with him.

We need Mark Koppang on our Federal Way City Council.
