First Federal Way 2015 general election results in

Initial results for the general election in Pierce and King counties on Tuesday night were released at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday night.
Votes are still being counted with results certified by Nov. 24.
Candidate Teri Hickel for the 30th Legislative District House of Representative Position 2 is taking the lead with 6,664 votes in King County and 446 votes in Pierce County for a total of 53.8 percent of votes. Challenger and incumbent Carol Gregory has 5,703 votes in King County and 372 votes in Pierce County for a total of 46 percent of votes.
In the Federal Way City Council Position No. 1 race, Incumbent Lydia Assefa-Dawson leads with 3,821 votes or 51.8 percent of all votes.
Candidate Mark Greene received 3,531 votes or 47.9 percent of all votes.
Incumbent Susan Honda is running unopposed for Council Position No. 3 and received 6,245 votes or 98.6 percent.
Mark Koppang received 4,132 votes or 55.2 percent and Julie Hiller received 3,325 votes or 44.5 percent for Council Position No. 5.
Incumbent Dini Duclos received 5,082 votes or 68.6 percent and P.K. Thumbi received 2,310 votes or 31.2 percent for Council Position No. 7.
In the South King Fire and Rescue Commissioner Position No. 2 race, candidate Bill Fuller takes the lead with 7,483 votes or 60.5 percent of all votes.
Candidate Roger Flygare received 4,820 votes or 39 percent of all votes.
Incumbent John Rickert ran unopposed for Commissioner Position No. 3 and received 9,020 votes or 75 percent. Marty Grisham was on the ballot and received 2,858 votes or 23.9 percent, despite dropping out before the August primary.
Federal Way Public Schools board Director District No.2 candidates Incumbent Claire Wilson received 5,536 votes or 52 percent while challenger Angela Griffin received 5,053 votes or 47.5 percent.
Both running unopposed, Liz Drake for Director District No. 3 received 9,167 votes (99.1 percent) and Hiroshi Eto for Director District No. 5 received 8,873 votes (99.1 percent).
In the Lakehaven Utility District Commissioner Position No. 3 race, candidate Peter Sanchez takes the lead with 6,556 votes or 65.3 percent of all votes.
Challenger Richard Peterson received 3,459 votes or 34.4 percent of all votes.
Incumbent Ronald Nowicki is running unopposed for Commissioner Position No. 5 and received 8,537 votes (99 percent).
Federal Way residents also voted on Advisory Proposition 1, whether or not the Federal Way City Council should enact an ordinance allowing marijuana-related businesses within the city of Federal Way.
Approximately 5,140 voted no, while 3,198 voted yes.
The city’s current moratorium on these businesses will expire in May 2016.
In its second try, South King Fire and Rescue put a $39 million bond on the ballot that would replace fire trucks, equipment and update fire stations, among other improvements. The fire district, which spans across Des Moines and Federal Way, 8,731 voted in favor of the bond (61.7 percent), while 5,422 voted against it (38.3 percent). The bond needs 60 percent of votes in order to pass.
