Federal Way student golf players make a mark at SPSL tournament

There were six boy and three girl golfers that made the top 10 at the SPSL golf state qualifying tournament Oct. 16-17.

Thomas Jefferson’s Hanna Yi ranked first with a score of 74 and 75. Celia Beyke from Decatur High School came in fourth with a score of 77 the first day and 80 the second day. Decatur’s Grace Xu received an 82 the first day and a 79 the second day, placing her at number 6.

Thomas Jefferson’s Sean Yi tied for second place with a score of 70 the first day and 72 the second day. Decatur’s Spencer Clapp came in fourth with 71 the first day and 72 the second day. Dax Wallat from Todd Beamer received an 82 the first day and 79 the second, landing him in 10th place.

These golfers go directly to state for qualifying in the top 10.
