I am writing about your article about Jack Dovey’s financial woes. I would like to defend his wife Jennifer Dovey.

I have known her for nearly 30 years starting with her teaching days. Since she became a realtor 26 years ago, she has built a reputation as a respected, conscientious and very successful broker. In addition, she has found time to be treasurer of the Federal Way Community Garden Foundation and a board member of the Federal Way Caregiving Network.

She also manages her family’s real estate investments. As most of these are free and clear of mortgages, I am sure keeping up with all the tax payments could well mean the odd one falls through the cracks.

With all the demands on her time that extended to organizing her daughter Jeneca’s wedding this year, and included supporting her husband through his financial challenges, is it any wonder something was overlooked?

It would be a gross injustice for your article to impugn her integrity and good name.
