The recent article in the Mirror “Democratic flyer calls out Dovey’s business-related liens, lawsuits, late taxes,” prompts me to comment.

It sounds like Jack Dovey is a guy that has been through a lot of trials with several business, and comes through them smelling like a rose.

How many of us can say we have had as much financial experience as Jack or that they would continue as a business investor in our community with such a string of troubles?

Would you? Most would give up.

Notice Jack not only stepped up to make things right, every time, Tim Burns fails to paint a picture of a man taxed into the poor house or guilty of anything more than trying his best to succeed.

Piling on accusations from years ago, all of which were settled years ago successfully, none which the accuser says caused lasting harm, does no one any good, and only ends up showing a mudslinger with dirty hands.

I wish Roger Freeman the best possible outcome for his treatments, I know they can be exhausting. But with the session coming up soon, will his health interfere with serving?
