The family of a little girl who is fighting leukemia will be hosting a car wash this weekend in an effort to raise money for her battle against the disease.

The money will specifically help with her Seattle Children’s Hospital needs list and spending money for a trip to Disney World the family has been planning with the Make a Wish Foundation.

Sienna Braun, 6, was diagnosed with leukemia this past spring after her symptoms took hold during a class field trip to the zoo.

Braun attends Silver Lake Elementary in Federal Way and although she’ll be able to attend the first week of school, she’ll have to miss two months after that while she undergoes the next phase of chemotherapy.

Her family will be selling hotdogs, soda and water for $1 each and are asking for a minimum donation of $5 for each car wash.

The car wash will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23 at the 76 Gas Station, located at 4603 S. 188th St. in SeaTac.
