Mirror staff reports:
Federal Way resident Rose Jacobi and her daughter, Kate Olson, formed the Cancer Ninjas to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
The Cancer Ninjas have raised $6,608 of the team’s $10,000 goal. They started raising funds when Jacobi’s son, Jonathan, was misdiagnosed with lymphoma a few years back. He has endured surgeries and treatments all his life.
“He’s not out of the woods, but so far he has been lucky and our scans have been upped from every three months to every six months,” Jacobi wrote to The Mirror. She noted that her husband of 30 years, Jon, was recently diagnosed with leukemia.
