Federal Way High School graduate Monica McConnaughey signed a national letter of intent ear lier in the week to play volleyball at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tenn. It is an NCAA Division II school.

McConnaughey is a 5-foot-10 outside hitter and will transfer to Lincoln Memorial after playing two seasons at Lower Columbia College in Longview. While at LCC, she was named a second-team, All-Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) and team most valuable player and captain.
