Juvenile shot in groin with sawed off shotgun, suspect in custody

Police responded to the Villa Capri Apartments, 2511 S. 286th Place, around 1 a.m. Jan. 10 in response to a shooting incident.
Officers arriving on scene found a juvenile male lying on the floor at an apartment. An adult suspect, age 18, and the victim’s girlfriend were also on scene. Officers were told the victim was shot in the groin area when the suspect was working the slide of a sawed off shotgun and the weapon discharged.
The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in stable condition. The suspect was booked into jail for third degree assault. Charges have not been filed.
