Firefighters need help to help the needy | Federal Way letters

South King Fire and Rescue along with all of our community partners are asking for the public’s help over the next couple of weeks. Your firefighters are once again teaming up with many community volunteers to help approximately 130 families during the Christmas holiday. We will be providing toys and food to families chosen by local school counselors. Over the past couple of years, the demand to help more families and the cost of providing toys and food has increased greatly. The community support we have received from the Federal Way and Des Moines area has been fantastic over the years. Please consider supporting this project. Drop off a new unwrapped toy or food donation at any of the South King fire stations in Federal Way or Des Moines. You may also make a financial donation at www.firefightersfoundation.org under the donations tab. I would like to thank everyone that has supported this community program in the past. It’s because of the community donations and the hundreds of hours of time donated by clubs and groups that this program is so successful.
