Arts center argument and Ferrell | Federal Way letters

I was appalled to see a letter by Joann Piquette in the July 27 edition of The Mirror, calling Jim Ferrell a liar on the cost of the Performing Arts Center. Ferrell was only giving the figures city staff gave him. The figure of $50 million also comes from more than one public hearing on the issue. It comes from adding up the land and building and related costs (some of which continue annually).

Does Ms. Piquette know more than the city staff about this? I think not. That makes her attack on Ferrell all the more reprehensible. Ferrell is a King County Prosecutor who goes after the truth. He found it here, and in no uncertain terms.

Shame on you, Ms. Piquette.
