Gambling tax: 20 percent was too high | Federal Way letters

I worked with P.J. Pockets Casino co-owner Steve Griffiths in tribal casinos. Our venture together was the Swinomish casino in Anacortes, which is still open after 18 years. Steve was also a longtime Vegas casino boss as well as myself. I can assure you that with a 20 percent tax with this type of operation, it would be impossible to make a profit. Way too labor intensive.
