Catch the excitement from the state championships on Feb. 19 and 20 at the Tacoma Dome and the King County Aquatic Center, when Federal Way, Beamer, Jefferson and Decatur’s top athletes went up against the best in the state.

Both Kyle McIntosh, a 145-pound wrestler from TJ, and Beamer sophomore 119-pounder Ares Carpio won state wrestling titles at Mat Classic XXII and Beamer swimmers Shane Clare and Bart Wanot both picked up state championships in the swimming pool at the Aquatic Center. Clare won the 200-yard individual medley and Wanot took the 100-yard backstroke.
