Thomas Gavin Bowie, 87, died Dec. 29 in Federal Way. He was born Feb. 13, 1916 in Galveston, Texas.
Survivors include his wife Marie; children Thomas G. Bowie Jr., Robert J. Bowie, Michael J. Bowie, Jeanne Bowie-Shriver, Marilou Saunderson, Peggy Diaz and Patti Bowie; and 18 grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Jan. 3 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Federal Way. Committal ceremony is at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 5 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Hope Heart Institute, 556 18th Ave., Seattle, WA 98122; Multi-Service Center, 1230 S. 336th St., Federal Way, WA 98003; or the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
