Man opens fire at aggressive dog, accidentally shoots neighbor

A man attempting to shoot an aggressive pit bull in the area accidentally shot his neighbor in the leg on Saturday evening.

Police responded to the shooting at about 5:40 p.m. in the 33500 block of 43rd Ave. SW in Federal Way, according to Federal Way police Commander Kurt Schwan.

The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

This investigation is still active, Schwan noted.
