Brady Houston led the Decatur Golden Gators with two RBIs in a win over the Auburn Trojans, as the team combined for five hits in the victory. Blake Beck and Michael Fitzpatrick combined for six strikeouts, while allowing six hits.

Daniel Calugay gave the Jefferson Raiders a double, their biggest hit on the afternoon in a loss to the Auburn Riverside Ravens. Brayden Brown was credited with Jefferson’s lone RBI.

The Decatur Golden Gators came all the way back from a two-goal deficit in the final 16 minutes to draw the Auburn Mountainview Lions. Misael Alfaro got his head on the end of a Marcos Santos free kick in the 73rd minute, and Dennis Kozorezov had a header on a free kick from Robert Toader with three minutes left.

“I know it was a tie, but it felt like a win,” Decatur manager Brad Plemons said. “The team showed some true grit not giving up. I pulled a defender and added an extra attacker, and that paid off for us in the last 10 minutes. They fought hard against a good team. We’re happy with the way the team stuck together and kept pushing.”

The win for the Federal Way Eagles broke a four-game losing streak, and it was the Eagles’ first win of 2017. Melissa Mateus had three hits, including two triples, and two RBIs in the win. Mateus also won her first game in the circle, throwing a complete game with one strikeout.
