Todd Beamer High School’s Aaliyah Alexander, girls basketball, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Dec. 21.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: French 3.

Q: What other activities/hobbies do you participate in?

A: Baking/cooking and painting nails.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: Sister Nia Alexander (USF basketball) is a good role model.

Q: Do you have a pre­game/competition ritual or post­game tradition, and what is it?

A: I listen to Drake before the game.

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: “Sicko Mode” by Travis Scott feat. Drake.

From the sideline: First game of the season, Aaliyah set the tone and continued the legacy of Todd Beamer basketball. She had double-double with 19 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block.
