Christian Jones named to All-American Team

Federal Way High School baseball player Christian Jones was recently named to the second team of the 2016 Preseason High School All-American squad by Baseball America.

The members of the team are picked through polls from MLB scouting departments. They base their decisions on performance, talent and professional potential.

Jones is a first baseman for the Eagles. Last year he participated in the Area Code Games.

During the 2015 season, Jones posted a .346 batting average and an on-base plus slugging percentage of 1.093. He also had 20 RBIs.

Jones is also a member of the Federal Way boys basketball team that is looking to claim its second consecutive state championship.
