Rebecca Ann Wintler, a longtime Federal Way resident, died Dec. 25. She was 80.

She was born May 3, 1925 in Portland, Ore. She graduated from Oregon State College (OSU), where she was national president of the Home Economics Society for one year and a member of Alpha Chi Omega.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Carl, of Federal Way; sons, Marty, Ben and Casey; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Dec. 31 at Our Saviour’s Baptist Church in Federal Way. A graveside service was conducted Jan. 3 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.

At the request of the family, memorials may be made to the Our Saviour’s Baptist Church.
