String of suspicious fires burns vehicles overnight in Federal Way

Federal Way police and South King Fire & Rescue were dispatched to multiple suspicious fires overnight Thursday.

Two vehicles and a trailer were damaged in the fires, which occurred in the 2100 block of Southwest 38th Street, the 2300 block of Southwest 342 Street and the 2800 block of 340th Place, Federal Way police Cmdr. Kurt Schwan said in an email.

There were no injuries reported. An SKFR fire investigator determined accelerants were used in each blaze, Schwan said.

On Friday, detectives were continuing their investigation.
