Upon arrival, officers found two occupied stolen vehicles and took three suspects into custody. Several stolen power tools, stolen mail and illegal narcotics were also found. The auto theft task force was notified. Two of the three suspects were booked into SCORE Jail.

Panhandler robbed: At 8:35 a.m., Dec. 20, in the 1800 block of South 312th Street, a person reported that while panhandling, a woman gave him a $20 bill. A man in the area then demanded the panhandler’s money, and when he refused to give it to him, the man beat him up, broke his head phones and stole his Seahawks hat and backpack. The panhandler had minor injuries. His backpack and headphones were found.

He said, he said: At 1:17 a.m., Dec. 19, in the 2000 block of South 317th Street, a man reported he was moving out of an apartment because of a dispute with his roommate. He said he had left the residence for 24 hours, and when he returned he discovered bleach had been poured onto his bed and two guitars were missing. The roommate, however, stated he was missing items, as well, and believed someone had entered the apartment and damaged the property. The reporting party, however, believed his roommate was responsible for the damage and missing items but could not provide proof.

Pricey shades stolen: At 11:49 a.m., Dec. 19, in the 1700 block of South Commons, a clerk at a business reported a man was seen on camera placing eyeglasses in his coat. The man initially entered the business and asked the clerk to fix his glasses before leaving. The video showed, however, the man put at least one pair of glasses in his coat. The clerk reported the suspect took two pairs of Rayban sunglasses, worth $240, and two pairs of Armani sunglasses, worth $210.

Childcare concerns: At 9:46 p.m., Dec. 19, a man went to the Federal Way Police Department to report the mother of his two children, ages 11 and 3, had left them home alone for a time during the day. The father reported this has been an ongoing issue with the mother. The man was told to file a report with Child Protective Services as he did not report anything that was a criminal matter.

No problem here: At 2:33 p.m., Dec. 18, police received a report of a female attempting to pry open a U.S. Post Office mail drop box with a stick in the 32000 block of Pacific Highway South. An officer responded and found a woman matching the description of the person in question. The woman had no mail on her, no burglary tools and no stick. She indicated that she had only dropped off a letter. The officer checked the mail box and found it was secure and had no signs of forced entry. No further action was taken.

Motorcycle on the move: At 4:39 p.m., Dec. 18, in the 2000 block of Southwest 352nd Street, a caller reported his motorcycle had been stolen from the parking lot of his apartment complex in the past day. At 5:12 p.m. the same day, an officer responded to a report of two males pushing the motorcycle behind a business in the 35000 block of 21st Avenue Southwest. The owner could not be reached, however, and the motorcycle had been moved by the time the officer arrived on scene.

Argument escalates: At 2:47 a.m., Dec. 17, police responded to a report of a domestic dispute in the 33000 block of Pacific Highway South where a female reported her boyfriend hit her in the eye while “flailing his arms around” when they were arguing. The female said she was not intentionally assaulted or injured. Neither the male or female had injuries.

Drug use leads to argument: At 1:18 a.m., Dec. 17, police responded to a domestic dispute in the 32000 block of Military Road South. Officers spoke with a woman who said her son asked her to pick him up after he was robbed at knife point when he tried to buy $20 worth of heroin from his dealer. The woman said she picked up her son, but the two got into a verbal argument over his drug use before he went to bed. Officers attempted to speak with the son, who was in bed, but he refused to cooperate and kept pulling the blanket over himself and telling officers to go away. Officers told the mother if her son wanted to report the robbery, he should call 911 in the morning.

Officer helps save life: At 7:43 a.m., Dec. 17, an officer was dispatched to a residence in the 31000 block of Fifth Avenue South for a medical call. Upon arriving, the officer took over CPR on a 70-year-old male with a history of heart issues. The automated external defibrillator was deployed, and a shock administered. After the shock the man began breathing on his own, and he was taken to the hospital when medical personnel arrived.

Money stolen from vehicle: At 10:24 a.m., Dec. 17, in the 1000 block of South 344th Street, an officer met with a person who reported a theft from a vehicle in a business parking lot between 9:40 and 10 a.m. The rear passenger-side window was broken out of the vehicle, and a blue Chase bank deposit bag containing approximately $250 was stolen. The reporting party said he inquired at the business about possible surveillance cameras covering the parking lot, but there were none.

Woman injured by unknown teens: At 6:30 p.m., Dec. 17, an officer responded to the 31000 block of 23rd Avenue South after a report of an assault. A woman stated she was taking out the trash, when three males in their late teens yelled insults and swore at her. The woman said she told them to leave and that their mothers must be proud of them, and one of the suspects threw something and struck her in the head. The suspects left in a silver four-door vehicle. The victim could not identify the suspects because of poor lighting. The victim wanted a police report so she could give it to management.

Domestic violence report leads to arrest: At 5:41 a.m., Dec. 16, officers responded to the 30000 block of Fifth Avenue Southwest following a report of domestic violence. Officers learned that the suspect had punched his daughter in the back of the head, and she hit her head on the wall, which caused a bump and bruising on her forehead. The suspect was booked into SCORE Jail for fourth-degree assault.
