Thomas Jefferson had a victorious girls soccer season opener with a 10-0 win against Decatur on Sept. 12.

This year, the Raiders have a young team with many freshmen.

Senior Hailey Still was amazing with six goals and one assist at last Thursday’s game, but was only allowed to play in half the game to give the younger girls time on the field.

Senior Cindy Roberts made one goal, along with underclassman sophomore Perla Ibarra and junior Octavia Johnson who each had one goal.

Thomas Jefferson also snagged a 2-1 win against Auburn Mountainview on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

The Raiders head to Auburn Riverside for battle at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20.
