The Federal Way United Reign ‘97 Purple girls soccer team recently won the Diadora Cup Tournament at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila. The Reign finished 5-0 during the tournament, beating Highline Premier Red, 3-0, Westsound FC Drew, 3-0, Eastside Blue, 6-0, Washington Premier Black, 2-1, and the Northwest Nationals Red, 3-2, in double overtime in the championship game.

The team is coached by Aaron Kimura and Angela Lee is the trainer. The team includes Cassidy Lane, Emma Lynch, Smantha Cheever, Madison Deschamps, Piper Hutchinson, Claudia Ahsmann, Alyssa Beach, Chaise Cole, Mascot Lexie Lee, Morgan Weaver, Riley Burks, Makaylie Moore, Hannah Kimura, Torrey Tompkins and Rachel Wolf.

• The Federal Way United Reign ‘93 Purple girls soccer team came home from Boise as champions of the US National Cup Region G Premier Group last weekend.

In their run to the championship, the Reign won all four of their games, scoring 18 goals, while not allowing a goal.

The Reign ’93 team includes Janell Carlson, Kasey Carrel, Nicolette Carnahan, Madison Cecil, Kenna Friedman, Hannah Friedman, Ashley Graves, Madison Hibbard, Chelsa Jensen, Alicia Markey, Obia Muoneke, Danielle Robinson, Sydney Rogalla, Annalise Rutt, Breanna Strauss, Autumn Talney and Breanna Zicarelli. The team is coached by James Cecil. Jim Rogalla is the team trainer and Lisa Zicarelli is the team manager.

• The Federal Way United Storm ‘97 White team competed in the Snohomish PDL Jamboree late last month, winning three games and losing one. The Storm ‘97 White are coached by Chris Morrow and Jeff Knutson.

The team includes Jeffery Allen, Tyson Byers, Austin Bushong, Kai Covey,Steven Grub, Gabe Horvath, Anthony Horvath, Cooper Hutchins, Paursa Kamalian, Christian Knutson, Hunter Kolbo, Quinn Landrud, and Justin Poortvliet.
