Last week, Jefferson got a walk-off home run from Cassidy DeWaele to beat Kentridge in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Tennis

The Decatur Gators won a pair of matches Tuesday over Kent-Meridian to move into fourth place in the SPSL North. The Gators (5-4) downed the Royals, 3-2, in each match.

Sarah Lin and Amanda Son won both of their matches in singles against Kent-Meridian and the doubles’ team of Meghan Cassens and Jen Kanesta also won a pair of matches.

Track and field

The Todd Beamer Titans swept Rogers Wednesday in an SPSL South dual meet. The Titan boys won 74-62 and the girls downed Rogers, 80-61.

On the boys’ side, Beamer got two individual wins from Duran Ward in the 100 (11.2) and 200 (23.2). On the girls’ side, the Titans got three wins from Taylor Kartes in the 800 (2:30.8), 1,600 (5:35.9) and pole vault (7-0).
