Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for Jan. 27: Auturo Munoz-Olmos

Federal Way senior swimmer has qualified for districts in a relay race.

Federal Way High School senior Arturo Munoz-Olmos, swim and dive, is the Federal Way Mirror Athlete of the Week for Jan. 27.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Band, I play the trumpet.

Q: What hobbies do you enjoy outside your sport?

A: Swimming, building items out of wood.

Q: Who is the person in your life that has helped you succeed the most?

A: My Mom, Angelina Olmos.

Q:If you could have dinner with anyone living or past who would it be?

A: Grandma, because I did not get to spend a lot of time with her and I miss her.

Q: Describe your pre-game ritual:

A: Big breakfast in the morning, snack throughout the day, and stay hydrated.

Q: Song you currently stop listening to?

A: “My Girl” by The Temptations.

From the sideline: FWHS senior Arturo Munoz-Olmos is the epitome of an exemplary scholar-athlete. He never misses a single practice, and he has been a dedicated and motivating team captain. Arturo’s commitment to the team and sport has not only earned him many personal bests in his individual events, but also contributed towards qualifying his teammates for a relay at the district meet.
