Thomas Jefferson High School’s Angel Swamy, girls golf, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Sept. 13.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Science.

Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: Spending time with my family.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My twin sister and my mom. They always push me to do better, they bring me up when I’m having a bad day and golfing with my sister makes things 10 times more fun.

Q: What is the best advice you’ve been given when it comes to your sport?

A: “Focus on your next shot and if you have a bad hole, just make it up on the next one.”

Q: Describe your pre-game ritual and your favorite post-game meal.

A: I jam out to music in the car with my sister.

Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

A: “Ballin” by Mustard feat. Roddy Ricch

From the sideline: Thomas Jefferson senior Angel Swamy has been a great leader for a young varsity team by not only leading by example, but also by supporting her teammates until the end of every practice or match. Whether it may be just at practice or a match, she always has her team’s back. All while holding down a job and working hard in her classes.
