Todd Beamer High School junior Lisa Safley, cross country, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Oct. 18.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Leadership and sociology.

Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: Spending time with friends.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My mom.

Q: The best advice I’ve ever been given by a coach is:

A: “Don’t go out too fast at the beginning” and “stay humble.”

Q: Describe your pre-game ritual and your favorite post-game meal.

A: Pre-game: Static stretching and having a positive mindset. Post-game meal: I like fruit, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

A: “Cry for Me” by Camilla Cabello.

From the sideline: TBHS junior Lisa Safley has always been a hard worker and a leader on the team. She consistently dedicates herself to improve and perform at her best. She also brings a positive attitude.
