Federal Way High School junior Sarah Jacobson, swim, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Nov. 29.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Physics.

Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: Swim, cooking, hanging out with friends.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: Club coach Tomas Mendez.

Q: The best advice I’ve ever been given by a coach is:

A: “Trust the process” given by coach Tomas Mendez.

Q: Describe your pre-game ritual and favorite post-game meal.

A: Pre-game: listening to music. Post-game: Chick-fil-A with friends.

Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

A: “10,000 Hours” by Dan + Shay, feat. Justin Bieber.

From the sideline: FWHS junior Sarah Jacobson’s hard work in the pool and at school has really shown throughout the season. Sarah is consistent and disciplined when she races. At the WIAA 4A State meet in late November, she placed seventh in the 100-yard butterfly and fourth in the 100-yard backstroke. Sarah is a full-time Running Start student who excels in the classroom. She has been a positive leader and role model for the Eagles’ team this year.
