From the sidelines: TJHS senior Kenya Cruz has battled through a torn ACL and a transition to a new school to accomplish a 6th place finish at the state championship meet. She was not considered a state contender, but through hard work, determination and a belief in the team program, she accomplished her goal of becoming a state placer. Kenya is well-deserving of being Athlete of the Week.
