Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for March 18: Paulina Fabela-Santos

FWHS senior is a dedicated athlete and supports her teammates to bring out their own potential.

Federal Way High School senior Paulina Fabela-Santos, tennis, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for March 18.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Anatomy.

Q: What additional activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: Wrestling, tennis, spending time with loved ones and going to church.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My dad, Jose; coaches Travis Mango and Yattah Reed; and Uncle Chico.

Q: What is the best advice you’ve been given when it comes to your sport?

A: “You can do anything for 30 seconds.” — Coach Travis Mango.

Q: Describe your pre-match ritual and your favorite post-match meal?

A: Pre-match: Pray, and talk with my teammates. Post-match: Jack in the Box.

Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

From the sidelines: FWHS senior Paulina Fabela-Santos is a dedicated athlete and shows her love of sport through her commitment to improvement. Not only does she give 100% in her own practice, but Paulina also supports her teammates to bring out their own potential. She has taken the lead to make sure newer players understand drills and leads the team through their pre-practice warm ups and stretching, ensuring that each member of the team is fully participating. Her commitment to high standards for both herself and those around her is why Paulina deserves to be the Athlete of the Week!
