Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Dec. 27: Bethany Camat

FWHS senior led Eagles girls basketball team to victory, scoring 26 points in double-overtime against Nathan Hale.

Federal Way High School senior Bethany Camat, basketball, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Dec. 27.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Visual communications with Mr. Recato.

Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: Basketball, softball, football, hanging out with friends and family.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My parents.

Q: The best advice I’ve ever been given by a coach is:

A: “Attitude is everything,” – Coach Heather Sugg.

Q: Describe your pre-game ritual and your favorite post-game meal.

A: Pre – listen to music. Post-game meal – fettuccine alfredo.

Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

A: “Ice Cold” by K CAMP.

From the sideline: FWHS senior Bethany Camat scored a career high of 26 points in a double overtime win against Nathan Hale on Dec. 16. With Federal Way down 10 points in the fourth quarter, Bethany led the Eagles with all 26 of her points coming in the second half. Bethany is a four-year varsity player and she has been the captain for three years. Bethany is averaging 13 points per game this year. She has been a solid leader for this year’s varsity girls basketball team.
