Federal Way Mirror Athlete of the Week for March 17: Eddy Kone

Kone is the captain of the Gator track team and is the ASB President.

Decatur High School senior Eddy Kone, track and field, is the Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for March 17.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Environmental Science.

Q: What hobbies do you enjoy outside of your sport?

A: Any activity that requires me to move my body.

Q: Who is the person in your life that has helped you succeed the most?

A: My mother, father and sisters.

Q: If you could have dinner with anyone (living or from the past), who would it be? Why?

A: Chadwick Boseman. I’d love to learn how he deals with challenges.

Q: Describe your pre-game ritual:

A: I have pancakes the morning of and pray right before.

Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

A: “Adonis Interlude” by J. Cole from the “Creed III” soundtrack.

From the sidelines: Eddy will be a four-year varsity letter award winner at Decatur High School in track and field. He qualified for the West Central District Championship Meet in long jump, high jump, and 4×100 relay. Eddy has earned his role as the captain of our team. He has also earned varsity letter award in cross country. Eddy was selected by his peers to be the Associated Student Body President during his senior year. In the classroom, Eddy has earned a 3.685 cumulative grade point average. He is looking forward to continuing his academic and athletic passions in college.
